The Duotone rug plays with the idea that contrasts can complement each other. Its elegance arises from its apparent simplicity, which creates a unique interplay using just two colors—one for the warp, one for the weft. Different yarn densities create subtle nuances, giving each rug a distinctive identity.

The soft yet striking color palette has been newly refined and ranges from sulfate blue to coral. The characteristic, gentle irregularity combines with a simple flat weave—"the archetype of weaving," as designer Hella Jongerius describes it—as an homage to Hallingdal, Kvadrat's iconic basket weave.
